As we progress and grow, you may notice on the calendar "Path of the Charger" events or someone has a Mount Trait.

Mounts are a specialized trait used for outdoor combat. You can gain a mount trait two ways; from the starter pack or from the Path of the Charger events!

All mounts have.
  • Passive: Mounted Combat
You may move and then take an action unless otherwise specified. This action may be either a standard attack or action, or a mount specific ability.

Once you attend your first Path of the Charger Valor Forge, you will unlock your mount's first rank. Mounts fall under three categories. Much like your Class Trait, you must choose one;

Powerful Mount
  • Passive: Rider gains +2 Def while mounted.
Balanced Mount
  • Passive: Rider gains +3 Atk, -1 Def while mounted.
Swift Mount
  • Passive: Rider gains +1 DMG, -2 Defense while mounted.

Once you decide on your mount specialty (Keep RP in mind!), you also choose two more Mount Augments to unlock the more you attend Path of the Charger events to improve your riding skill!

Barding
  • Passive: Rider gains advantage to Defense rolls.
Charge!
  • Active: Charge to a target that is not in melee range. On a successful attack, add +2 Dmg.
Hit and Run
  • Active: Charge past a target that is not in melee range. On a successful attack, add +1 Dmg.
Shove
  • Active: Shove an opponent back several yards! May be used offensively, or defensively.
Mount Attack
  • Active: Your mount attacks a target. Your mount gains +5 Atk and +1 Dmg.
Reposition
  • Active: If a path is available, you may move your mount to a new location AFTER making a standard attack.
Passenger
  • Passive: Allows for a passenger! Only for special cases. The passenger may utilize the mount's bonus as well as Mount Attack. Passenger takes their turn at the same time as the Driver. Driver controls movement.

"Thunderhoof"

  • Passive: Mounted Combat
Rank 1: Swift Mount
  • Passive: Rider gains +1 DMG, -3 Defense while mounted.
Rank 2: Hit and Run
  • Active: Charge past a target that is not in melee range. On a successful attack, add +1 Dmg.
Rank 3: Shove
  • Active: Shove an opponent back several yards! May be used offensively, or defensively.

"Speedy"

  • Passive: Mounted Combat
Rank 1: Swift Mount
  • Passive: Rider gains +1 DMG, -3 Defense while mounted.
Rank 2: Reposition
  • Active: If a path is available, you may move your mount to a new location AFTER making a standard attack.
Rank 3: Hit and Run
  • Active: Charge past a target that is not in melee range. On a successful attack, add +1 Dmg.


Does your character not have a personal mount? No problem! The Steelgrasp Brigade stables are open to all members!

Here is a list of pre-set mounts to choose from;

Steelgrasp War Ram
  • Passive: Mounted Combat
Rank 1: Balanced Mount
  • Passive: Rider gains +3 Atk, -1 Def while mounted.

Rank 3: Mount Attack
  • Active: Your mount attacks a target within melee range. Add +5 Atk and +1 Dmg.

Rank 1: Powerful Mount
  • Passive: Rider gains +2 Def while mounted.
Rank 2: Mount Attack
  • Active: Your mount attacks a target within melee range. Add +5 Atk and +1 Dmg.
Rank 3: Shove
  • Active: Shove an opponent back several yards! May be used offensively, or defensively.

Ironforge Ram
  • Passive: Mounted Combat
Rank 1: Powerful Mount
  • Passive: Rider gains +2 Def while mounted.
Rank 2: Shove
  • Active: Shove an opponent back several yards! May be used offensively, or defensively.
Rank 3: Barding
  • Passive: Rider gains advantage to Defense rolls.

Stormpike Battle Charger
  • Passive: Mounted Combat
Rank 1: Swift Mount
  • Passive: Rider gains +1 DMG, -3 Defense while mounted.
